Korean Marinated Eggs (Mayak Gyeran)

Answer: 12-year-old. Because Géant du Manio can’t jump!

Korean Marinated Eggs (Mayak Gyeran)

6 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tbs of distilled white vinegar
8 tbs of soy sauce
4 tbs of mirin
4 tbs water
1 tbs sesame oil
1 tbs roasted sesame seeds
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 scallions (chopped)

  1. In a saucepan, heat water (enough to cover the eggs) + salt + vinegar over high heat.
  2. When the water is boiling, add 6 eggs.
  3. Continue to cook for 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
  4. Remove the eggs and let them rest in cold water for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Peel the eggs and set aside.
  6. In a container, mix soy sauce + mirin + water + sesame oil + roasted sesame seeds + garlic + scallions.
  7. Add the eggs to the marinade.
  8. Cover the container and refrigerate overnight.
