So, I made some pancakes this morning.
Hubby: The positive side of being married is to have fresh pancakes in the morning.
(then he continues…)
But the negative side is that now I have to SHARE with 4 other people whom I don’t know for the most part of my life!!!
Any guess what he will have for breakfast tomorrow?
Everyday pancakes
(Adapted from New York Times)
For 6 servings
250g all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbs sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
2 tbs butter (melted)
Additional butter to grease skillet
- In a large bowl, whisk all dry ingredients together.
- Add eggs, then gradually stir in milk and melted butter. Mix only enough to moisture flour (it’s okay to have some lumps).
- Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Grease with some butter. Then ladder one cup of batter onto skillet. Cook for about 2 minutes, flip and cook for another minute or so.
- Serve hot.
