Grilled chicken wings

We recently discovered Scott’s Run Nature Preserve and the kids absolutely loved it. A little lunch picnic and we were ready for a day full of fun. The kids found two snakes, spiders, butterflies, dragonflies, and… drum roll please… a Africa-shaped rock (with Madagascar!).

Grilled chicken wings

For about 5.5-6 lbs chicken wings (cut or leave as a whole)
150 g brown Sugar
8 tbs soy sauce
4 tbs fish sauce
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs onion powder
4 tbs canola oil
1 tbs red pepper flakes (optional)
6 double Kaffir lime leaves (finely chopped)
and/or 2 lemongrass stalks (finely chopped)
  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. Marinate chicken wings for at least 1 hour.
  3. Grill the wings until fully cooked.
  4. Enjoy with white rice and cucumber salad if desired.
